Asking Alexandria
On April 21, 2010, Asking Alexandria brought their uncompromising mix of metalcore, electronic textures and huge hooks to Magnet Club in Berlin. In the close quarters of the venue, crushing breakdowns collided with frantic synths and the kind of energy that left no room between the crowd and the stage.
The band were still at the beginning of their international rise, but the intensity of the night already showed why their name was spreading so quickly through the scene. An early Berlin show defined by raw momentum, sweat, light and constant movement on both sides of the barricade.

About the band Asking Alexandria
Asking Alexandria formed in York, England, in 2008 and quickly became one of the defining names at the intersection of metalcore, post hardcore and modern hard rock. Their 2009 debut album Stand Up and Scream became a landmark record for the MySpace and Warped Tour generation. Its combination of aggressive riffs, electronic arrangements, clean choruses and sudden shifts between heaviness and melody captured a very specific moment in heavy music.
The early lineup featuring vocalist Danny Worsnop, guitarists Ben Bruce and Cameron Liddell, bassist Sam Bettley and drummer James Cassells created a sound built for intense club rooms. From a concert photographer's perspective, Asking Alexandria are made for high impact images: rapid movement, expressive faces, hard lighting and a crowd ready to sing along or erupt at every cue.
