About the band NOFX

NOFX are one of the defining bands of Californian punk rock. Formed in Los Angeles in 1983 by vocalist and bassist Fat Mike and guitarist Eric Melvin, the band built its signature sound with drummer Erik Sandin and guitarist, trumpeter and vocalist El Hefe. Their formula combined rapid skate punk riffs, hardcore intensity, ska touches, layered melodies and a sharply sarcastic sense of humor.

With Punk in Drublic in 1994, NOFX became an international force in punk rock. Records including So Long and Thanks for All the Shoes, White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean and Wolves in Wolves' Clothing helped shape their legacy. Tracks such as Linoleum, Bob, Stickin' in My Eye and the ambitious The Decline remain essential listening for several generations of punk fans.

Onstage, NOFX were never about polished rock star perfection. Their shows stood out through spontaneous banter, ironic detours and a balance of tight musicianship and controlled chaos. From a concert photographer's perspective, they were a constant rush of movement, expressions, shifting lights and moments where the line between stage and audience almost disappeared.
